Patron El Alto

Patrón El Alto is an extra añejo tequila produced at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico. It blends tequilas aged in four barrel types, French oak, American oak, Hungarian oak and used bourbon barrels. The Weber Blue agave comes from both the Los Altos highlands near Atotonilco and the lowland Jalisco valley, combining highland fruit-forward sweetness with the more herbaceous, earthy character of lowland plants. Production uses both traditional tahona wheels and roller mills, with distillation in small copper pot stills. It rests a minimum of three years across its cask types before blending. Layered, with oak influence balanced by cooked agave sweetness. It is sipped.
