The Wine
Tuscan red at this price is built for the table, not the shelf. The structure here, firm tannin and enough acidity to cut through fat, makes it the right call alongside bistecca, braised short rib, or anything coming off a wood fire.
Worth Knowing
The Cusano family, Italian Canadians, took on Poggio Torselli in 2021. The villa above San Casciano has been standing since at least 1427 and once hosted a Tsar and a Pope on his way to crown Napoleon.
