The Wine
Beaune Premier Cru from one of the appellation's most serious traditional houses. Morot's Bressandes runs leaner and more structured than most Côte de Beaune reds, which makes it the bottle to open alongside duck breast, roasted lamb, or anything with enough fat and char to meet the tannin halfway.
Worth Knowing
The family has been selling its wine since 1820. The estate grew when a daughter and son in law bought up vineyard land cheaply in Beaune and Savigny during the phylloxera collapse of 1890.
