The Tequila
A refined highland blend
Patrón El Alto is a luxury blend from Patrón, built around extra añejo aged four years and rounded out with younger añejo and reposado. The agave is grown in the highest reaches of the Atotonilco el Alto highlands in Jalisco, which is where the name comes from.
It is made the slow, traditional way at Hacienda Patrón. The cooked agave is crushed with a volcanic stone tahona, and the tequila is aged in eleven different barrel types, most of them hybrid casks with American oak bodies and French oak heads.
The result is rich, smooth and deeply complex, a sipping tequila built for a glass on its own rather than a cocktail. This is the bottle you reach for when the occasion calls for the best.
