The Whisky
Speyside, with a Caribbean twist
The Balvenie is a Speyside single malt made in Dufftown, one of the few distilleries that still grows some of its own barley, runs its own floor maltings, and keeps a coppersmith and coopers on site. The 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask shows off that craft with a playful finish.
It is matured for fourteen years in traditional oak, then finished in casks that once held Caribbean rum. The Malt Master David Stewart seasoned American oak casks with his own blend of West Indian rums, then filled them with the aged whisky to round it out.
The result keeps Balvenie’s honeyed, malty heart and adds a layer of toffee and warm tropical fruit. Smooth, sweet and very easy to love.

The Balvenie has made whisky in Dufftown since 1892, and remains one of the most traditional distilleries in Speyside, owned by the Grant family.
David Stewart, its long serving Malt Master, helped pioneer cask finishing, and the Caribbean Cask is one of the most loved examples of it.
