The Whisky
Smoke meets sherry
Uigeadail is Ardbeg’s marriage of its trademark Islay peat smoke with the deep, raisiny richness of old ex-Oloroso sherry casks. It is named for Loch Uigeadail, the dark hill loch that feeds the distillery.
Bottled at cask strength (54.2%) and non chill-filtered, it is fuller and sweeter than a standard Ardbeg, without losing any of the south-shore Islay intensity.
In 2009 it was named World Whisky of the Year, and it has stayed a cult favourite ever since.

Nose
Heavy peat smoke, dark raisins, espresso, sea salt, and tar.
Palate
Intense smoke layered with toffee, dried figs, black pepper, and brine.
Finish
Long and warming with lingering smoke and dark chocolate.
