Westmalle Tripel

Westmalle Tripel is a Belgian Trappist ale, not a lager, brewed by monks at the Westmalle abbey since the 1800s. It pours golden and deceptively light, but at 9.5% it has real weight, with a dry, spiced finish that sneaks up on you. At $6.49 a bottle this is one of the best deals in the store. Grab it when you want something serious without making a big occasion of it.
