Tanqueray London Dry Gin was created by Charles Tanqueray in Bloomsbury, London, in 1830. Production has since moved to Cameron Bridge in Scotland, and the recipe has stayed consistent. The botanical bill is restrained. Juniper leads, supported by coriander, angelica root and liquorice.
The spirit is distilled four times. At 47.3 percent ABV it is stronger than many gins. It is used in a Martini, a Negroni or a gin and tonic.
