Stolichnaya, commonly known as Stoli, has roots stretching back to Soviet-era production but today operates primarily out of Latvia, where it is produced at the Latvijas Balzams distillery in Riga.

The vodka is made from a blend of wheat and rye sourced from Russia, which is then distilled and blended with artesian well water and mineral water filtered through quartz sand and birch charcoal.

This multi-step filtration process is central to the brand's approach, aiming for a clean, neutral spirit with a subtle grain character rather than the flat anonymity of many commercial vodkas.
