Shelter Point Distillery is on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It makes a single malt from estate-grown barley, grown, malted, distilled and aged on its own land, which is rare in Canada.
The whisky is distilled in copper pot stills and matured in new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, with some releases also using wine or sherry casks. It reflects the cool, damp Pacific maritime climate of Vancouver Island. This is the 750 ml bottle.
