Sea Cider Rumrunner

Sea Cider is a Victoria-based cidery that's been doing this properly for years. Rumrunner is their rum barrel-aged cider, which gives it a warm, boozy depth that separates it from anything light and sessionable. It suits after-dinner drinking more than pairing with a meal.

Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse is a small, family-run operation located in Saanichton on the Saanich Peninsula of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. They farm heritage apple varieties and produce a range of naturally fermented ciders that draw a loyal following in the Pacific Northwest.

Rumrunner is one of their more distinctive offerings, a cider that takes its inspiration from the rum-running history of the BC coast. The cider is aged or blended with rum, which sets it apart from a straightforward dry or off-dry apple cider and gives it a warmer, more complex character.

The apple base brings brightness and acidity, while the rum component adds depth, a touch of sweetness, and a subtle warmth that carries through to the finish. It is a 750ml craft cider with a clear point of view.
