Odd Society Spirits is a craft distillery in East Vancouver, established in 2013, one of the early small-batch distilleries in British Columbia. Prospector Rye Whisky is made from a mashbill of 100 percent BC-grown rye. It is pot-distilled in small batches and aged in new American oak barrels.
The whisky is grain-forward with pronounced spice. The new oak adds vanilla and caramel without covering the peppery bite of the rye. It is used in a Manhattan or Old Fashioned, and served neat.
