Oban Distillery is in the fishing harbour town of Oban on Scotland's west coast, between the Highlands and the Islands. It was founded in 1794 and is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, with two stills. The 14 Year Old is aged in ex-bourbon American oak casks.
Medium-bodied with maritime saltiness, honeyed sweetness and citrus, and gentle peat smoke, subtler than Islay. At 43 percent ABV. It goes with seafood, particularly oysters and smoked salmon.
