Nolet Ketel One

Ketel One is produced by the Nolet Distillery in Schiedam, the Netherlands, a family operation that has been distilling since 1691 and is currently in its tenth generation of family ownership.

The vodka is made from European wheat and produced through a combination of traditional copper pot still distillation and modern column distillation. The name references the original coal-fired copper pot still, Distilleerketel #1, still on display at the distillery.

The wheat base contributes a soft, slightly sweet character, and the dual distillation approach is designed to preserve aromatic complexity while maintaining clarity.

Ketel One is filtered and blended with a small amount of pot still distillate to give the final product more texture than a purely column-distilled spirit. It has become a well-regarded benchmark in the premium wheat vodka category, widely respected in cocktail culture for its balance and reliability.

At this price point it offers genuine Dutch heritage and a production story that goes well beyond most commercial vodka brands. It works equally well served straight, on the rocks, or as the base for a classic martini or vodka tonic where its texture and grain character can be noticed.
