Nikka - Taketsuru Pure Malt Japanese Whisky

Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt named for Nikka's founder, Masataka Taketsuru. Nikka bases it on sherry cask malts from its Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, along with remade cask malts from Miyagikyo. It is bottled at 43% ABV.

Nikka lists it as World's Best Blended Malt at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards and gold at the 2024 International Spirits Challenge. Nikka's notes are apple, apricot, toast and vanilla on the nose, banana, navel orange, malt and peat on the palate, and dark chocolate, oak and peat on the finish.
