Unfiltered, undiluted sake with enough residual sweetness and body to sit alongside spicy food without flinching. The cloudy texture and natural richness make it a natural at a table with izakaya-style share plates or anything fried.

Kikusui is a well-regarded sake brewery based in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, a region historically celebrated for producing clean, dry sake styles thanks to its cold climate and soft snowmelt water.

Perfect Snow Nigori Genshu is an unfiltered, undiluted sake, and both of those production choices shape its character significantly.

Nigori refers to the coarse filtering process that leaves rice solids in suspension, giving the liquid its characteristic cloudy, white appearance and a richer, creamier texture than polished clear sake.

Genshu means the sake is bottled at its natural alcohol concentration without the addition of water to dilute it down, which typically results in a fuller body and more pronounced flavor intensity, often landing between 17 and 20 percent alcohol by volume.

The grade sits within the Junmai category, meaning it is brewed without added distilled alcohol, relying entirely on fermented rice for its character. The 300ml format makes it an accessible and low-commitment way to explore unfiltered sake, and it works well slightly chilled or over ice.

Customers curious about textural contrast in sake, or those who have only encountered filtered varieties, will find this a genuinely different experience in the glass.
