Mare - Gin

Gin Mare is a contemporary Mediterranean gin distilled in the small fishing village of Vilanova i la Geltrú along the Costa Dorada in northeastern Spain. Produced at the Destilerías MG distillery, this gin takes a distinctive approach by featuring botanicals sourced from the Mediterranean basin.

The botanical bill is led by arbequina olives, basil, thyme, and rosemary, which are individually macerated and distilled separately before blending. These savory, herbaceous elements are balanced by juniper, coriander, cardamom, and citrus.

The result is a gin that tastes unmistakably of its terroir, evoking the sun-warmed hillsides and coastal gardens of Spain. Gin Mare pioneered the Mediterranean gin category and remains one of its finest examples. 7 percent ABV, it sits comfortably at standard strength while delivering bold aromatics.

This gin shines in a classic Gin and Tonic garnished with a sprig of rosemary or an olive, and it makes an intriguing Martini for those who enjoy savory complexity. It also works beautifully in a Negroni, where the herbal notes complement the bitterness of Campari.
