Mamma Mia Limoncello is an Italian-style lemon liqueur in a 700 ml bottle. Limoncello originates from the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento region of southern Italy, where it is made from locally grown lemons, typically the large, aromatic Sfusato or Femminello varieties.
Lemon peels are macerated in neutral spirit to extract the oils, then blended with sugar syrup. The producer behind the Mamma Mia label is not confirmed.
It is served well chilled as a digestif, straight from the freezer in small cups, and used in a limoncello spritz with prosecco and soda, or as a dessert accompaniment.
