Malibu is a coconut-flavoured liqueur based on Caribbean rum, produced by the Pernod Ricard group and bottled at 21 percent ABV. It launched in the 1980s. It is made by blending white rum with coconut flavouring and sugar, giving a sweet, low-alcohol drink.
It is used in cocktails with pineapple juice, cola, lime and cream-based drinks, including the Pina Colada and Malibu and cola. This is the 375 ml size. It is used in blended tropical drinks and simple highballs.
