Maker's Mark Cask Strength is the uncut, unfiltered expression from the renowned Loretto, Kentucky distillery.

While standard Maker's Mark is diluted to 45% ABV before bottling, this version goes straight from the barrel to the bottle at its natural proof, typically ranging between 54% and 56% ABV depending on the batch.

The distillery has produced wheated bourbon since 1953, using red winter wheat instead of the more common rye grain in its mashbill alongside corn and malted barley. This choice creates a softer, sweeter character that distinguishes Maker's Mark from most Kentucky bourbons.

The cask strength release amplifies every element of the classic profile, delivering intensified caramel, vanilla, and baking spice notes with greater depth and complexity. The whisky matures in charred American white oak barrels that are hand-rotated during aging to ensure consistency.

At full proof, the texture becomes notably richer and more viscous, coating the palate with concentrated flavor. This bottling appeals to those who appreciate bourbon in its most authentic form, offering the flexibility to add water gradually and explore how the whisky opens up at different dilution levels.

It represents excellent value for a barrel-proof bourbon from an established producer.
