Lot No. 40 - Rye Whisky

Lot No. 40 is a Canadian rye whisky produced at Hiram Walker Distillery in Windsor, Ontario. It is made from a 100 percent malted rye mashbill, distilled in small batches in copper pot stills rather than the column stills common in Canadian whisky.

It is aged in virgin American oak barrels, which add spice, vanilla and toffee to the peppery rye. The name refers to the plot of land where the distillery's original rye grain was grown. The style looks back to Canadian whisky before Prohibition. It has won numerous awards.
