The Lagavulin distillery sits on the southern coast of Islay, where it has operated since 1816, drawing water from the Solan Lochs and using traditional wooden washbacks and slow copper pot still distillation.

This expression ages for a minimum of sixteen years in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak ex-sherry casks, which contribute layers of dried fruit sweetness to balance the signature maritime peat smoke.

The distillery maintains one of the slowest distillation processes on Islay, allowing for greater copper contact and a heavier, more complex spirit. The resulting whisky delivers the full Islay experience with remarkable polish and depth.
