Fireball Cinnamon Whisky is produced by the Sazerac Company, one of the largest spirits producers in North America, and is bottled at 33 percent alcohol by volume.

Originally developed in Canada in the 1980s as a bar mix product, it was reformulated and relaunched in the United States in the mid-2000s before becoming one of the best-selling flavoured spirits in North America.

The liquid is made from Canadian whisky blended with cinnamon flavouring and sweeteners, resulting in a product that sits closer to a liqueur in character despite its whisky base.

It is worth noting that in some markets, including Canada, the product is sold as a cinnamon-flavoured whisky liqueur rather than whisky, due to regulations around minimum proof requirements.
