El Tequileno - Gran Reserva Reposado

El Tequileño is one of the oldest continuously operating tequila distilleries in Mexico, founded in 1959 in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, and still family-owned.

Gran Reserva Reposado is made from 100 percent blue Weber agave grown in the lowland valley around Tequila, where volcanic soils and lower elevation give earthier, more mineral agave than highland fruit-forward expressions. The agave is slow-cooked in brick ovens and distilled in copper pot stills.

The reposado rests in American oak barrels for about six months, adding soft wood notes while keeping the agave character. It is served neat or used in cocktails.
