Dos Hombres Espadin Mezcal

Dos Hombres is the mezcal project founded by actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, who spent years searching for a producer in Oaxaca before partnering with third-generation mezcalero Gregorio Velasco in San Luis del Rio.

This espadin mezcal is made from agave espadin, the most widely cultivated variety in Oaxaca, grown in the mineral-rich soils of the region's central valleys.

The production follows traditional methods: piñas are roasted in underground pit ovens lined with volcanic rock, then crushed, fermented in open-air wooden vats with wild yeasts, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. The result is a mezcal that balances accessibility with authentic character.

While celebrity spirits often prioritize marketing over substance, Dos Hombres has earned respect for delivering genuine Oaxacan mezcal at a reasonable price point.

The espadin base provides familiar smoky sweetness that works well for newcomers to mezcal, while the traditional production gives it enough complexity to satisfy more experienced drinkers.
