Delord is a house in Bas-Armagnac, the westernmost sub-region of the Armagnac appellation, centred on the sandy soils of the Landes. Founded in 1893 and still family-run in Lannepax, Delord distills in traditional continuous column stills known locally as alembic armagnaçais, which keep a fruity, rustic character.
This 25 Ans release is a blend of eaux-de-vie averaging 25 years in oak, with dried stone fruit, baking spice and aged wood. Bas-Armagnac's sandy terroir tends to give lighter, more aromatic spirits than the chalky Grande Champagne of Cognac.
