Dae Jang Bu 25 Soju

Dae Jang Bu 25 is a Korean soju at 25 percent ABV, higher than the 16 to 19 percent of standard sojus. The name translates roughly as great man or mighty one. Standard brands such as Jinro or Chamisul are sweetened, column-distilled neutral spirits cut with water. Dae Jang Bu is sold in a 375 ml bottle.

The higher alcohol gives it more presence on the palate. It goes with rich Korean dishes such as samgyeopsal, galbi and spicy stew. Production details are not extensively published.
