D`usse - Vsop

D'USSE is a Cognac produced at Chateau de Cognac, one of the oldest operating facilities in the Cognac region of France, dating back to 1838. The house is a joint venture involving Jay-Z's Armand de Brignac parent company and Bacardi, which provides substantial distribution reach.

The VSOP is a blend drawing from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, aged a minimum of four and a half years in Limousin oak, which is longer than the VSOP category legally requires.

The result is a cognac that sits a step above the minimum requirements for its classification, showing more oak integration and dried fruit character than many entry-level VSOP expressions.

Cellar Master Michel Casavecchia oversees production, bringing genuine technical experience to what is otherwise a heavily marketed product. D'USSE VSOP is slightly sweet, fruit-forward, and approachable for both sipping and mixing in cocktails. It performs well in a Sidecar or simply over a large ice cube.
