Clase Azul Reposado is produced at Destiladora de Agave San Andres in Jalisco, Mexico, under the Grupo Cardenal umbrella.

The tequila is made from highland-grown Blue Weber agave sourced from the Los Altos region, where the red clay soils and higher elevation contribute to a richer, sweeter agave character compared to lowland expressions.

The piñas are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens before fermentation, and the distillate is twice-distilled in copper pot stills, a method that preserves aromatic complexity and texture.

After distillation, the spirit is aged for eight months in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon, which imparts notes of vanilla, caramel, and warm spice without obscuring the underlying agave.

The bottle itself is an iconic hand-painted ceramic decanter produced by artisans in Mazahua communities in Santa Maria Canchesdá, Michoacán, making each one a collectible piece. At this price point, you are paying for both the liquid and the vessel, and it is worth being clear about that.

The tequila inside is genuinely well-made, smooth, and approachable with real depth, making it a strong choice for a gift or a special occasion pour. Those seeking a pure agave-forward experience might look elsewhere, but for richness, craft presentation, and sipping comfort, Clase Azul Reposado delivers.
