Cachaça 51 is produced by Companhia Müller de Bebidas in São Paulo state, Brazil, and is the world's best-selling cachaça. Cachaça is a Brazilian sugarcane spirit distilled from fresh sugarcane juice, closer to agricole-style rum than to molasses-based Caribbean rum. It is a legally defined category in Brazil.
The spirit is column-distilled and bottled unaged, with a clean profile. It is the base for the caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail.
