Bruichladdich - The Botanist Islay Dry

The Botanist is made at Bruichladdich Distillery on the island of Islay, off Scotland's west coast.

It has 22 botanicals, 9 classic gin botanicals and 13 hand-foraged wild botanicals from Islay, including bog myrtle, creeping thistle, elderflower, wood sage and water mint, gathered from the island's hillsides, coastline and peat bogs.

It is distilled in a Lomond still called Ugly Betty, a slow-distillation pot still with rectifying plates. It is classified as an Islay Dry Gin, juniper-forward like London Dry with herbal and floral notes. In a gin and tonic, the carbonation lifts the floral and citrus notes.
