BarSol is one of Peru's most respected pisco producers, founded in 2002 by Carlos Ferreyros and based in the Ica Valley, a region widely regarded as the heartland of Peruvian pisco production.

The Quebranta expression is built entirely from the Quebranta grape, a non-aromatic black grape variety that is essentially native to Peru, having adapted over centuries to the dry coastal desert climate.

Under Peruvian law, pisco must be distilled to proof in copper pot stills with no water added post-distillation, and BarSol adheres strictly to these regulations, producing a spirit that reflects the grape rather than the barrel, as aging in wood is not permitted.

The result is a pisco that carries the soft, slightly earthy character Quebranta is known for, with a round body and gentle fruit notes that make it one of the more approachable expressions of the style.

This bottling is particularly well suited to classic Peruvian cocktails such as the Pisco Sour and the Chilcano, where its mellow profile supports rather than overwhelms citrus and other ingredients.

For bartenders and home enthusiasts alike, BarSol Quebranta serves as a dependable and authentic benchmark for understanding what Peruvian pisco is meant to taste like at its most traditional.
