Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon comes from the Louisville distillery founded by Lincoln Henderson, a master distiller with decades of experience at Brown-Forman. This bourbon begins as a traditional Kentucky straight bourbon, aged for four to six years in new charred American oak barrels.

What sets it apart is the secondary maturation in ruby port wine casks from Portugal, a finishing process lasting three to six months that adds complexity and a distinctive character uncommon in the bourbon category.

The port cask influence brings a subtle fruitiness and rounded sweetness that complements the classic bourbon notes of caramel and vanilla. The mashbill consists of 72 percent corn, 18 percent rye, and 10 percent malted barley, providing a solid backbone with enough rye spice to balance the sweeter elements.

Bottled at 43.3 percent alcohol by volume, it strikes a balance between accessibility and depth. The port finishing technique was innovative when first introduced and remains central to the brand's identity.

The port cask finishing produces a softer, fruit-forward profile alongside the standard bourbon notes of caramel, vanilla, and rye spice.
