Absolut is produced by The Absolut Company in Åhus, a small town in southern Sweden, where it has been distilled continuously since 1879. The vodka is made from winter wheat grown in the surrounding Skåne region, meaning both the grain and the water used in production come from the same local area.

Absolut uses a continuous distillation process, redistilling the spirit hundreds of times to achieve a clean, consistent result. Unlike many vodkas that rely on added sugar or glycerol to create texture, Absolut keeps its recipe straightforward, resulting in a vodka that is smooth without being artificially rounded.
