BC Craft Spirits Gift Guide 2026: Holiday Gifts from BC Distilleries

Gin from the islands, single malt grown on the farm, liqueur made down the road.
Hi everyone,
Every December someone asks us for "something local" for a person who has everything. BC spirits are the answer. The province now has dozens of small distilleries, a lot of them on Vancouver Island, and the best of them grow their own grain, forage their own botanicals and bottle things you will not find anywhere else.
A bottle made here is a better gift than one more famous label. It comes with a story the person can tell when they pour it, and the money stays with a small producer. Here is what we would give from our shelf right now.
The bottles below come straight from our stock and change as things sell, so what you see is what we have today.
For the gin drinker
BC makes some of the most interesting gin in the country. Island distillers put kelp, fir tips, berries and local herbs alongside the juniper, so each bottle tastes of where it was made. For a gin lover, a bottle from here is a step up from the big London names. For a bigger gift, our Island Gin gift pack comes boxed.

For the whisky drinker
BC whisky has grown up. A handful of distilleries now grow or source their own grain, run it through copper pot stills and wait years before they bottle it. Single malts and ryes from here hold their own next to Scotch and Kentucky, and very few people will already own one. Not sure which way they lean? Our Whisky Flavour Compass maps the shelf from gentle and honeyed to full campfire.

For after dinner
The liqueur nobody buys for themselves. BC distillers make theirs in small batches with real ingredients, so they taste of coffee, orange or almond rather than sugar. Pour one over ice after a big dinner, or add a bar of chocolate from The Pantry and it is a finished gift.
