What Sets Us Apart.
We have been part of the Kitsilano community since 1986. The shop has evolved over the decades, but the mission has not. We carry a curated selection of wine, beer, and spirits without the pretension.
Whether you are after a rare single malt or a reliable local craft tallboy, we have the right bottle waiting for you.

Staff Picks

Staff Pick · BC Gin
Sheringham Seaside Gin
Vancouver Island, BC · 43% ABV · 375ml
Sheringham distills on the coast at Shirley, out past Sooke on Vancouver Island, and the botanical that sets the Seaside apart is hand-harvested winged kelp gathered from the Salish Sea. It lends a faint saline, mineral edge under the juniper, citrus and rose. This is the most local gin and tonic you can pour in Vancouver, and it has the awards to back it up.
Aroma
Juniper, ocean brine, citrus peel, rose petal, and subtle kelp minerality
Flavour
Bright juniper, saline undertones, soft citrus, and delicate floral notes
Finish
Clean and briny, with lingering coastal minerality

Staff Pick · BC Vermouth
A Sunday in August Gulf Island Vermouth
Gulf Islands, BC · 750ml
A Sunday in August is a small producer working out of the Gulf Islands, and this vermouth leans hard into local, foraged botanicals over a base of BC wine. It is on the dry, herbal side, with orange zest and a gentle bitterness that makes it a lovely aperitivo over ice, or the backbone of a proper Martini or Negroni. Coastal character you will not find in the imports.
Aroma
Dried herbs, floral botanicals, citrus peel, and gentle earthiness
Flavour
Bittersweet herbs, orange zest, soft floral notes, and mild spice
Finish
Medium length, dry, with lingering herbal bitterness

Staff Pick · BC Single Malt
Shelter Point Ripple Rock Single Malt
Vancouver Island, BC · 46% ABV · 750ml
Shelter Point farms its own barley on 380 acres on the east coast of Vancouver Island and distills it into one of Canada's most serious single malts. Ripple Rock, named for the notorious reef once blown up in Seymour Narrows, is rich and rounded: honey, baked apple, vanilla and soft oak with a whisper of sea air. Proof that world-class malt is being made an hour up the island.
Aroma
Honey, orchard fruit, toasted barley, and faint coastal salinity
Flavour
Creamy malt, baked apple, vanilla, light spice, and gentle sea air
Finish
Medium length, with lingering honey and soft oak
